Remember " GHANA MUST GO"? See How It All Started.

Many may not know this but in 1969, Ghana created a strict immigration policy, in which thousands of immigrants (mostly Nigerians) were expelled from the country,people became homeless and helpless.



In 1983, Nigerians retaliated. About a million Ghanians were also expelled from Nigeria. as at that time the refugees were in a rush to return back to their countries, so they used cheap plastic bags with a "ghana-must-go" Tag to carry their cloths and other belongings.




the word 'ghana must go' became associated with the bag in the picture above. could this be the reason for the grudge between the ghana and nigerian actors? i hear the nigerians have to pay a fine before they are allowed to take part in any movie productions in ghana hmmm.
