Snoring is aggravated by some factors. It happens when you sleep. the muscles in the back of the roof of your mouthy ,tongue and throat relaxes, when relaxed they narrow or block your aiway. The snoring sound is as a result of your soft palate and uvula which vibrates and knocks against the back throat thereby obstructing the air movement during sleep.
The following can help you reduce,control or eliminate it from your life.
1. Avoid smoking as it incases irritation to the lining of the nasal cavity and throat which increase the chances of snoring.
2. Avoid sedatives and tranquilizers
3.Sleep on your side do not sleep on your back
4. Avoid excessive drinking before going to bed as it could result to relaxation of the muscles which could cause loud snoring.
5. Take a hot bath before going to bed so as to keep the body warm.
6. Change your sheets and pillowcases often to reduce nasal stuffiness.
7. Some snoring can be so unbearable. In this case you may be experiencing chronic sinus infections get substantial medical treatment from your
doctor.
8. Maintain healthy weight and diet. avoid fatty foods and sleeping pills
9. Finally if you are on the fat side, exercise from time to time to reduce fat and keep fit.
