Days back there was a protest at the university of Jos (Uni-Jos) this was due to the increase in school fees and development levy. The protest which left many injured was said to have triggered an indefinite closure of the uni by the management. Vanguard reports that the Management of University of Jos, UNIJOS, has appealed to the leadership of Students’ Union Government, SUG, of the institution to show real leadership by retracing their steps to return to the path of dialogue, so that a smooth academic calendar could be achieved. The management and students of the university had been at loggerheads over hike in school fees, which culminated in street protests.
